What's up this summer?

Cydney is currently on contract at the Mac-Haydn Theatre! She will be featured in multiple productions this summer. She will be playing Natalie in All Shook Up and Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act!

About Cydney

Cydney Gleckner is a passionate and lively performer. She was born and raised in Glen Rock, New Jersey. At the age of eight, she appeared as the Dormouse in her first musical, Alice in Wonderland. She moved to the city in 2021 to begin classes at Marymount Manhattan College, where she keeps developing and learning as a performer and expects to graduate with a BFA in Musical Theatre in 2025. Cydney recently spent the summer of 2023 working at the Mac-Haydn Theatre in their summer season!

"Cydney Gleckner raises the roof and brings the house down with “Bless The Lord.” The applause for her vocal performance was well-deserved, but perhaps equally worthy, if not more so, of applause was her ability to perform the piece to perfection, remaining upright and maintaining her balance as she was whirled, twirled, twisted and otherwise tossed about, while perched atop a wheeled cart. Natalie Weiss at Joe's Pub

On December 5th, Cydney performed alongside Natalie Weiss in her solo show at Joe’s Pub. She was selected out of many performers to perform a duet with Natalie “The Spark of Creation/Our Time”.

Recast Cabaret; Green Room 42

On November 5th, Cydney appeared amongst her MMC classmates at Green Room 42. Song selections including, "Astonishing" from Little Women, "Flying Away" from Fun Home, "Meet The Plastics" from Mean Girls, and "Something To Believe In" from Newsies.

Suzy Simpson

The Marvelous Wonderettes; Mac-Haydn Theatre

In September, Cydney took on the role of Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. In this show, she performed songs including, "Stupid Cupid", "Maybe I Know", "Mr. Sandman", and more!

Female Swing

Jersey Boys; Mac-Haydn Theatre

From August to September this summer, Cydney swung the Female roles in Jersey Boys at the Mac-Haydn Theatre! She covered roles including Mary Delgado, Lorraine, Francine Valli, Frankie Nolan, The Angels and more!

"Bless The Lord"

Godspell; Mac-Haydn Theatre

In July, Cydney was apart of Godspell at The Mac-Haydn Theatre. She took on the Lindsay track and was featured in “Bless The Lord”. She also performed in “Light of the World”, “Day By Day”, “We Beseech Thee”, and played ukulele in “Learn Your Lessons Well”.

Soloist

Actor Therapy; 54 Below

In April, Cydney was selected to be a part of Actor Therapy’s 54 Below Cabaret. At this show, she got to open the show with “Life of The Party” from The Wild Party.
